Westminster Master's International Scholarship For Developing Countries

Publish Date: May 23, 2016

Deadline: Oct 14, 2016

The University offers a number of scholarships for students intending to start their postgraduate full-time academic programme in January 2017. These scholarships are for a one-year Masters and are not open to MBA applicants who may only apply for an MBA part-fee scholarship.

Award

Full tuition fee award, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Crieteria

Equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree, financial need and development potential.

Eligibility

You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters at the University.

Application Process (UK/EU)

The scholarship application process is HIGHLY COMPETITIVE. We receive thousands of applications each year, so do NOT assume that application means acceptance. You should also seek other sources of funding in the event that your application is not successful.

You should only apply for a scholarship once you have applied for admission and successfully been offered a place (either conditional or unconditional) on the course you wish to study. We cannot consider your application for a scholarship if you have not already made an application for admission and been successfully offered a place on a course.

For information on how to apply for a place on one of our courses, please visit the official website. If you are an existing student, unfortunately, at present, you are not currently eligible to apply for a scholarship as all scholarships are awarded before a course commences.

To apply for a scholarship you will need to complete the relevant scholarship application form. For UK/EU undergraduate scholarships the University has an online application process available for use. Shortlisting will be done as applications arrive but final decisions on the allocation of awards will be taken after the deadline. For more information on the online application process, please visit Scholarships page on the website.

Application Process (International)

For international students and ALL postgraduate students you will need to download the relevant application form (International Undergraduate or Postgraduate) from our website.

Please note that for international undergraduate and all postgraduate students we do not currently have an online application facility and DO NOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS VIA EMAIL. International students and postgraduate students will need to send their applications by post to the following address:

Scholarships Office First Floor,
Cavendish House
101 New Cavendish Street
London W1W 6XH
United Kingdom

Please ensure that you check any deadline dates for individual scholarships in the brochure or on our website – westminster.ac.uk/ scholarships.

Once we have received your application, we will acknowledge receipt by email. In cases where an application is received very close to the deadline, you may not get an email of acknowledgement. Applications are reviewed in two stages. Before the deadline, applications are reviewed and selected to move forward for the shortlist. After the deadline, the shortlist is reviewed and the top candidates are selected. The Scholarships Office will inform you as soon as possible regarding an unsuccessful decision. However, those who are shortlisted may not receive the outcome until as late as six weeks after the deadline.
