The Kofi Annan Fellowship

The Kofi Annan Fellowship is a fellowship grant for an emerging leader from a developing country for a two-year Master’s in Management (MIM) or a one-year full-time MBA education at ESMT Berlin in Berlin, Germany.

Purpose

When

The MIM program starts in September of each year with a final application deadline of June 30. The MBA program begins in January of each year with a final application deadline of September 30.

Travel, visa, housing, insurance, placement, networking.

Financials

Fellows will receive a full tuition scholarship from ESMT (€25,000 for MIM students and €43,500 for MBA students) plus fair compensation for travel and accommodation costs and program related fees.

Requirements

  • MIM applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with excellent grades, less than 18 months of work experience, and proficient English skills. In certain cases a GMAT or GRE score may be requested.
  • MBA applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree of any kind, a minimum of three years of professional experience, a GMAT or GRE score, and proficient English skills.
  • All applicants should have a willingness to contribute to building the economy and society of the home country with entrepreneurial impetus.

ESMT Berlin's Master's in Management (MIM)

The MIM program combines internships and a social impact project with applied coursework and research on the latest business and management theories.
 The program is taught in English and is divided into two tracks with a focus on international management. One track (Quantitative Business) is designed for quantitative decision analysts and one track for creative and strategic thinkers (Innovative Management).

Depending on the track, students choose one out of four specializations in the second year:

  • Business Analytics
  • Finance and Investments
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Global and Digital Strategy

The Master's in Management program begins in September of every year. Students graduate with an M.Sc. in Management, worth 120 ECTS credits.

The ESMT Master of Business Administration

The ESMT Master of Business Administration is a one-year, full-time international management MBA program. Focus areas include technology and innovation management, global sustainable business and entrepreneurship. Courses are taught in English at ESMT’s campus in Berlin, Germany. ESMT accepts up to 70 talented professionals every year to join an intense program that runs from January to December. Students are given unparalleled opportunities for self-improvement and networking while learning to master global business administration from Germany’s most international business faculty.
