Summer School - Management: The Fundamental Principles, 2022, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Publish Date: Mar 26, 2022

Deadline: Jun 01, 2022

Event Dates: from Jun 29, 2022 12:00 to Jul 15, 2022 12:00

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of “management”. The primary emphasis is on individual and group behaviour within organisations, in order for you to learn what it means to be an effective member of an organisation – both as a new employee and eventually as a manager.
This course will cover a wide variety of topics related to that overall goal, including personality types, individual and group decision-making, working in teams, communication, motivation, networks, culture, organisational design, organisational change, and related ethical issues. We will then briefly explore how these issues relate to external strategic issues faced by businesses and organisations.
This course will aim to move beyond the theoretical foundations of these topics and explore how they come to life in the modern workplace in 2022.
