Tbilisi (Georgia) based Center for Russian Studies announces the call for participation in the Summer School, "Reinterpreting Russia and the Region". During the one-week online summer school, scholars working in Social sciences from Russia, Ukraine, South Caucasus, the USA, and the EU will give interactive lectures, reflecting on the ongoing Russian military aggression in Ukraine through the findings of their respective disciplines. Prognosis about the foreseeable future will be the focus of the deliberations. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and debates on the present and future of the region with well-known scholars and counterparts. The school will also provide training in blog-post writing, and students will be eventually required to write short blogs/posts on the given topics for the Center of Russian studies website or its ongoing Facebook project "revisor".
The criteria for enrolment:
Candidates have to have at least a bachelor's diploma in Social or Humanitarian Sciences, demonstrating a strong interest in Russian Studies. They have to submit a CV and a letter of motivation in English (no more than 400 words).
The Zoom interviews will be conducted with the selected candidates
Format:
The summer school will be online and will be launched in the last week of July 2022. Summer school is free of charge, and the working language of the summer school is English.
