In this Summer School, you explore the fundamentals of automotive engineering, mobile propulsion and modern automotive technologies. You debate alternative and electrified vehicle propulsion systems, examine automated driving and work on a case study. You even get to meet a student formula team. They present their work on self-built race cars with alternative propulsion systems to you.

Course leader
The Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) and the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) conduct the academic content.

Course aim
This Summer School program is all about modern automotive technologies. It covers the fundamentals of automotive engineering and mobile propulsion, and it explores modern automotive technologies, such as alternative and electrified vehicle propulsion systems and automated driving. The topic of automated driving features a case study, and different types of power engines can be experienced in a kart event. You will even get to meet a student formula team that will present you with their work on self-built race cars.

Fee info
EUR 3750: With our all-inclusive package we provide our participants a carefree stay in the charming historic city of Aachen. The program fees of each on-campus program contain for example:
