The Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, is running a contest to find the best articles on Kazakhstan written by foreign journalists.
1.The aim of the contest
Encouragement of authors of the best and objective journalistic interviews, outlines, and stories expert-analytical informations about Kazakhstan in foreign Media. Promotion of development of professional qualitative in works of foreign Media and authors illuminating social-economic development of Kazakhstan.
2. Contest feasibility
Conducting of contest will help to creating conditions more favored for journalists and Media of foreign countries working in Kazakhstan or interested in trip to country for illuminated key events and activities national, regional and international level
3. Task of contest
Promotion to create and spread in international Media bright qualitative objective information about economic and life style, culture, art, diversity of modern Kazakhstan
4. The Organizing Committee
Conducting of contest creates The Organizing Committee (further - The Organizing Committee). The Organizing Committee consists of the Chairman of Committee international information of Ministry of foreign affairs of RK, Chairman of management of Community of journalists of Kazakhstan .
The final examination of entries made by the jury.
The jury team consists of:
- Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Seitqazy Mataev;
- Minister of foreign affairs of RK Erlan Idrissov
- Chairman of Committee for International Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko
5.The presents of contest
To winners of contest from every region will be awarded diplomas, will be organized the trip to Astana and Almaty, resort Borovoe, which provides provision of air flight with «economy» class, accommodation in a luxury hotel, wide cultural programs and meetings with colleges
Winners will have the opportunity to meet with Kazakhstani officials, journalists, as well as science and culture representatives of Kazakhstan, which makes new opportunities long-term contacts and cooperation with professional pool of foreign journalists with aim of qualitative and objective illumination of country in international Media.

Russian air company«Transaero»as a sponsor of the contest, Joint-Stock Company National Company «Kazakhstan TemirZholy», Bid Committee for the Olympic Games in 2022 in Almaty city Hotel «Hilton Garden Inn» in Astana city, Hotel «Rixos Borovoe» in Shuchinsk (Borovoe), also transport company «Argymak» on providing with transport for the movement of a group of winners in Astana and Almaty cities.
7. Topics of the contest
On purpose to attract more quantity of participants of openness and objectiveness of contest procedures. Contest will be held in the following areas:

8.Geography of the contest
The contest is open to journalists from:
- South and North America
- Europe
- CIS
- Near and Middle east
- Asia + Australia and Oceania countries
- with one winner selected from each region.
9.Contest requirements
Those wishing to participate should send an article of up to 1,500 words published in English or Russian between January 1 and June 30, 2015
Before 25s of June in 2015 for organizing committee it is necessary to get all work from every nomination

From 25s before 28 June in 2015 will be conducted the process of determining the best of work for each category, according to result, after that the organizing committee will give to the jury the best works, which determine the best in each category by the scoring on a 10- point scale .
As a result of identifying the winners before trip to Kazakhstan they have to sign a letter of guarantee for the publication of articles about Kazakhstan after returning to the country of residence.
10. Event of conducting of award of winners
Events for awarding the winners in all categories will begin approximately in July
During the events will be organized meetings with the leaders of the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan , an extensive cultural program in. Astana, Almaty cities and Borovoe resort.
Following the contest , the best publication with permission will be published on the most popular news sites online sitemap of Kaznet , as well as one of the print media in Kazakhstan.
During the visit the winners in Astana, will be organized visits to major historical and cultural touristic sightseeings of cities , a visit to the Opera and Ballet Theatre "Astana Opera" with a visit to one of the theater performances and a visit to the National Space Centre with a demonstration of the Mission Control Centre Kazakhstani satellites KazEOSat- 1 , KazEOSat- 2 .
In Almaty city planned to organize visits to major cultural - historical and tourist sightseeings of the city , a trip to the " Big Almaty Lake" , dinner at a restaurant , etc
12. Participants of the contest
Contest entrants can be journalists representing foreign print and online media, staff and non- members of the media , and other foreign individuals carrying out their activity on the territory of Kazakhstan and abroad.
