Supplementary grant; additional funds necessary
1. The course costs will be paid by the ACTION, covering the following:
- instruction
- 3 meals a day
- accommodation
- culture-and-society-of-the-country-programme and culture programme - e. g. trips and presentations that will be held within the course
2. Applicants from EU/EEA countries: within the European Union, costs for medical care are covered by the national insurance carrier in your home country. Please have your European health insurance card with you at all times.
3. Travel expenses have to be paid by the grant recipient.
Application form
- The form must be filled in German.
The following documents must be uploaded with the online application:
- Description of the need for a residential language course (2 pages maximum)
- Using the appropriate forms, 2 letters of recommendation from instructors (university professors or the equivalent) at an Austrian university or university of applied sciences, attesting to the candidate's aptitude for language as well as the relevance of this residential language course for them.
- Transcript of records for all examinations taken at an Austrian university or university of applied sciences as well as copies of any diplomas or other certificates.

- advance the EU's aim for all citizens to learn an additional EU language besides English
- promote mutual understanding
- support the advancement of junior academics
Eligibility
- Applicants from Austrian public universities, universities of applied sciences, university colleges of teacher education and private universities.
- Candidates must be between 19-35 years of age (born on or after October 1st 1986)
- Successful completion of at least 2 semesters at an Austrian university or Austrian university of applied science; in other words, having successfully passed the examinations required by the curriculum.
- Grants are awarded for language courses at Debrecen University in July, August and September.
Reporting requirement
Scholarship holders are obliged to submit a final report at the end of their stay.
