George David Family Scholarships
The Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI) is offering two scholarships to prospective postgraduates who are both nationals of, and resident in, Greece or Cyprus.
Award
The scholarship is worth £8,000 and will be deducted from tuition fees. The scholarship is tenable for one year for full time MSc students and tenable for three years for PhD full time students subject to satisfactory progress. Part time awards will be pro rata.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted for admission onto an eligible part-time or full-time MSc or PhD programme at the University of Edinburgh commencing in 2020-2021. Applicants must have applied for one of the following programmes:
- an eligible MSc programme (see below): or
- PhD in a subject related to the work of the ECCI
Applicants must be nationals of, and resident in, Greece or Cyprus at the time of application.
Eligible Masters Programmes
- LLM Global Environment and Climate Change Law
- MSc Carbon Finance
- MSc Carbon Management
- MSc Energy, Society and Sustainability
- MSc Marine Systems and Policies
Applicants who have already commenced their programme of study on the closing date or studying part-time intermittent or by online learning are not eligible for this scholarship.
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

The scholarship deadline is 23:59 GMT 30th April 2020.
In order to gain access to the scholarship application system applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.
