One scholarship is available for the Armenian Language Summer School.
One scholarship is available for the Persian Language Summer School.

The scholarship is provided by Chessify, a leading startup that helps chess professionals in playing better chess.
Through connecting chess to technology and AI Chessify’s mission is to promote chess worldwide.

Armenia is a world power in Chess and the Armenian chess team was the three times chess olympic champion in 2006, 2008 and 2012.

Armenia is also the only country in the world that has Chess as a mandatory subject in primary school curriculum. You may see people playing chess in every corner of Yerevan city as well as in the villages and other cities.

Chess has also played an important role also in Iranian society. The Iranians were familiar with this game as early as the Sassanid empire, as we learn from the Middle Persian Chatrang-namag (“The Book of Chess”).

Armenian and Persian are important languages not only for chess players, but also for chess researchers, journalists and anthropologists. Accordingly with this scholarship Chessify tries to support academic communities worldwide to learn Armenian and Persian.
