Psychology Doctoral Scholarships
Our University of Essex Psychology Doctoral Scholarship supports talented PhD students to study in our Department of Psychology. One scholarship is available in 2020-21.
If you have an excellent academic background, the potential for future achievement and financial need, you could be eligible. Once awarded, you'll receive the scholarship for three years of your PhD (subject to satisfactory progression). The scholarship includes:
- a doctoral stipend equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend (around £15,000)
- a departmental allowance of approximately £500 per year
- Proficio funding of £2,500 to invest in advanced skills training
Eligibility
You can apply for this scholarship if you have a confirmed academic member of staff to supervise your project and have applied for a PhD place.
You will need to have a high 2.1 or first-class undergraduate degree, or an MSc in Psychology or a related discipline.
MPhil and Masters by Dissertation courses are not eligible.
