International Security Policy Scholarship
Climate change, cyber-warfare, nuclear weapons, terrorism – the security challenges facing the international community in the 21st century are diverse and complex. The International Security Policy Scholarship is intended for students who are passionate about international security and wish to pursue a career in this field.
This scholarship is offered in cooperation with the Centre for International Security Policy (CISP) led by Wolfgang Ischinger, director of the centre and chairman of the Munich Security Conference.

- Up to two full scholarships are available, each worth 32,500 EUR
- Decisions are made on a rolling basis
Who is it for?
Applicants with a demonstrated interest in international security, either academically or professionally, who wish to pursue a degree in international affairs.
How to apply
Interested applicants should first submit a standard application for the MIA programme. In addition, they need to draft a brief letter of motivation highlighting their interest in international security.
The letter should be sent to grad-admissions[at]hertie-school[dot]org after an application has been submitted.Interested applicants should submit their applications and letters of motivation before 1 April 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted on a rolling basis and interviewed by a faculty member of the Hertie School.
