Pin-ups, workshops, lectures and juries complement the varied types of interactions and cooperation between unit colleagues. AA tutors and external experts are invited to discuss the projects and provide personal feedback throughout the programme.

Course leader
Naiara Vegara

Target group
The AA Semester Programme is open to qualified undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an architecture school. A minimum of two years of study in architecture or urban design is required.

Course aim
Copenhagen has become a city of islets. Copenhagen has historically grown by leveraging and connecting islets to expand the city. This autumn semester we will focus on exploring Refshaleoen and the plans for its continuation to a projected new artificial island for a new neighbourhood. Climate impact changes on Europe predicts that Copenhangen is to be among the capital cities to see the greatest increase in flooding severity and frequency. With this in mind, we will explore the dialogue between water and land, between landscape and urban design.
