The Department of History, Classics and Archaeology and the Department of English, Theatre and Creative Writing at Birkbeck are offering two fully funded studentship for the MA Medical Humanities: Bodies, Cultures and Ideas starting in October 2021.

These studentships are funded by the Wellcome Trust.

VALUE OF AWARD

• The awards will cover UK tuition fees, a London-weighted stipend at UK Research Council rates and a generous research allowance.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• The studentships are open to all applicants to the MA Medical Humanities: Bodies, Cultures and Ideas and will be awarded on the basis of both financial and academic merit.
• UK and international students are eligible to apply (NB award only covers up to Home/UK fees).
• You are expected to meet the entry requirements for MA study within the Department of History, Classics and Archaeology and the Department of English, Theatre and Creative Writing. 
• These studentships are not open to applicants to the MA Applied Medical Humanities.
