ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants participating in the selection, without citizenship limitation, must hold an Advanced Degree (Laurea Specialistica) or Master's Degree (Laurea Magistrale) or Graduate Degree (Laurea) achieved pursuant to the Italian system prior to Ministerial Decree 509/1999, amended with Ministerial Decree 270/2004, or similar eligible academic qualification achieved abroad comparable to the Italian qualification in terms of duration and content, and previously recognised by the PhD Admission Board as valid for admission, as provided in Annex A - PhDs Data Sheets, for the specific PhD course for which applicants intend to apply.

 

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE COMPETITION

1. Admission applications may be submitted exclusively online from 4 June 2018 from 2.00 pm (Italian time) and without exception by 1.00 pm (Italian time) on 3 August 2018. 2. Under penalty of exclusion from the competition, admission applications must be completed using the appropriate online procedure as envisaged and described in Annex B – Operating Instructions to Register, an integral part of this Call. 3. Being an integral part of the application form, no publications or other document submitted in the original paper and/or relevant IT supports will be returned, including upon request. 4. Applications that are incomplete, irregular or that are not conveyed according to the methods and procedures of this Article will not be considered valid. 5. Applicants who intend to take part in the competition for several PhD courses must submit several online applications, attaching to each application the documentation provided for in the Art. 4. 6. Applicants with a certified disability according to the Italian Law 104/1992 or with a diagnosis of certified specific learning disability (SLD), as defined according to the Italian Law 170/2010, may report the need for aids by attaching appropriate and valid documentation to the online application. In order to speed up the evaluation procedures, it is advisable to send the same request for aids as attached to the online application, to the Office for Inclusion and Participation of the University of Brescia (U.O.C. Inclusione e Partecipazione): e-mail: capd@unibs.it. For further information on the eligible aids and on the documentation to be attached, contact the Office for Inclusion and Participation of the University of Brescia (U.O.C. Inclusione e Partecipazione) at the email address: capd@unibs.it. The confirmation of the eligibility of the request and the specification of the aids granted, following evaluation of the competent academic structures, will be communicated in good time directly to the applicant by the Office for Inclusion and Participation (U.O.C. Inclusione e Partecipazione) only by e-mail to the applicant’s email address reported in the online registration phase. 7. The university administration assumes no responsibility in case the documentation submitted in electronic format is not accessible due to damaged files or folders. 8. Applicants are advised not to wait until the last days before the deadline to submit their application; the university administration assumes no responsibility for any online admission system malfunctions due to technical issues and/or overload of the communication line and/or application systems and/or possible postal errors. 9. No registration fee for the competitions are requested.
