Selection process
Your Master’s programme and scholarship applications will be assessed by the Faculty at which you have applied.
- First of all, the Faculty will assess your Master’s application. Once you have been accepted for the Master’s programme, the Faculty will assess your scholarship application.
- Subsequently the faculty will send a list with eligible candidates to the Maastricht University selection committee. This committee will make the definitive selection of the nominated candidates.
- If you have been awarded a scholarship, you will receive an official acceptance letter.
- You must sign and return this letter to the Scholarship Office.
All aspects of your application count towards the assessment of the application. The Scholarship Committee also looks at: academic excellence, your motivation, status of the institute you studied at in your home country, the match of the chosen master's programme with your previous qualification(s), level of this previous qualification (or qualifications), your career planning, and your references.
