PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Management is the process of ensuring that an organization or company is able to operate in both the immediate and near future. Managers are charged with making decisions that will impact an organization on every level. These decisions range from hiring a new employee to taking a company public. Management is not an easy field, and good managers are highly sought after.
BS Management Learning Outcomes
Program level (shared among all business programs):
- Creative Problem Solving: Generate a creative solution to a business problem or opportunity through the application of design thinking.
- Technology: Apply business technology and explain its' implications.
- Analytical and Critical Skills: Analyze and evaluate major business issues to make and communicate effective decisions.
- Applied Focus: Demonstrate the ability to apply what they have learned to perform effectively in actual business settings.
Management Specific:
- Demonstrate understanding of concepts and models that managers use to motivate employees.
- Demonstrate understanding of concepts and models that managers use to lead individuals, groups, and cultures.
