Summer Session in Arts and Sciences
Summer 2022 course browsing opens Monday, February 7. Registration opens Wednesday, March 30.
The Arts and Sciences Summer Session invites current Washington University understudies, visiting understudies from different schools and colleges, and post-baccalaureate understudies looking for academic improvement. Students can explore, invent, and immerse themselves in rich educational experiences throughout the Arts & Sciences Summer Session. Your coursework will force you to think outside of the box when it comes to learning.
Who is eligible?
Visiting students willing to enroll in Arts and Sciences Session have to be at least 18 years of age and are required to meet at least one of the below-mentioned criteria:

Be a post-baccalaureate student who is taking a gap year.

Be an enrolled undergraduate student at another US college or University
-
Be an enrolled international undergraduate student attending a US college or University
Additional requirements

The student must have a solid academic record (a transcript will be required during the enrollment form process). A minimum of 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale is required for good standing.

International students must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting a minimum TOEFL score of 90 (iBT) or an IELTS Academic score of 6.5. Students are allowed to request a waiver based on the Office for International Students and Scholars' current English Proficiency Certification (https://students.wustl.edu/english-proficiency-certification/) standards.
Sessions, Dates
The courses are divided into four sessions:
Session 1 - May to June
Session 2 - June to July
Session 3 - Jun to August
Session 4 - July to August
Tuition & fees: Payment Options
Arts & Sciences course Tuition is the following:

$1180/unit ($3540/3-unit course) for Undergraduate students

$1420/unit ($4260/3-unit course) for Graduate students
Potential additional fees can include:

$15-$350 for Lab/Material Fees

5% of the outstanding balance (minimum $50) for late payment
Summer Session charges for WashU undergraduate students will show on an electronic billing statement that may be accessed by checking in to WebSTAC. Unless other arrangements have been made, the outstanding balance is usually payable on or around the 20th of the following month. If bills are not paid, a financial hold will be placed on the student's account.
Visiting Students from the United States and Other Countries
To be guaranteed a spot in a class, registrations must be paid in full. Students may pay using a debit/credit card, or an approved alternative payment option (i.e., financial aid consortium agreement, military benefit, etc.). We are unable to accept checks or cash payments at this time.
