All the admitted students with a complete dossier (language certificate included by the deadline) will be automatically considered for the available merit based scholarships (there is no separate application for scholarships).
The Politecnico di Milano operates 3 scholarship schemes, which provide financial support for full-time Non EU and EU students enrolled in our "Laurea Magistrale" (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes.
1. PLATINUM Scholarship
Worth 10.000€ gross per year + tuition fees waiver. The amount of the scholarship will cover accommodation costs at one of Politecnico student residence, the remaining amount (after taxation) will be given as cash pocket money. The student will only have to pay an administrative fee.
2. GOLD Scholarship
Worth 5.000€ per year + tuition fees waiver. The amount of the scholarship will cover accommodation costs at one of Politecnico student residence, the remaining amount (after taxation) will be given as cash pocket money. The student will only have to pay an administrative fee.
3. SILVER Scholarship
Corresponding to a tuition fee waiver, covers the total amount of fees for the academic year. The student will only have to pay an administrative fee.
The number of Platinum, Gold and Silver scholarships awarded varies from year to year, a small number of Platinum scholarships and a larger number of Gold and Silver scholarships are available.
ADDITIONAL Scholarships
In addition to the Platinum, Gold and Silver scholarships, every year other kinds of merit based scholarships offered by external institutions may be available for specific programmes or students’ country of origin.
Scholarships Assignment criteria
The selection criteria are based on the evaluation of your previous education and its match with the prerequisites of our M.Sc. programmes. Obviously GPA (grade point average) and academic achievements (including the portfolio when requested) are of utmost importance. Last but not least a well written motivation letter will highly contribute to a positive decision by the Scholarship Awarding Committee.
