Deadline: first come, first served principle, response within 2 weeks

Open to: youth (18-35 years) from the EEA, CIS, and Eastern partnership countries

Venue and Time: 24-31 July in Paris, France

Description:

Current political differences may divide Greater European countries with invisible walls and hinder interaction in many spheres of social cooperation, but they can hardly downgrade their civilizational and cultural closeness. The fifth annual Forum “Greater Europe Meetings: Paris 2017” will gather in Paris young people from all the European countries motivated by the idea of building a common economic, cultural, political and security space on the whole European continent from Lisbon to Vladivostok based on historical ties and modern complementarity of European countries.

The opening ceremony of the Forum with honorary guests and introductory panel discussions with experts and politicians will take place at the UNESCO Headquarters.

The first three days of the Forum will involve the activities of the EU-EAEU Diplomatic School dedicated to analysis and discussion of possible integration of the Trade Unions. During the School participants will take part in panel discussions with well-known lecturers on economic and geopolitical preconditions for such cooperation, acquire negotiation and debate techniques and model a negotiation simulation between the EAEU and EU delegations. The results of the simulation will be presented in the form of a Memorandum, developed by young EU and EAEU commissioners. The Memorandum will be promoted and distributed among the decision makers and influential circles of the Greater Europe later on.

After having acquired various diplomatic skills during the first three days, participants will spend two more days in team work activities and project management trainings run by professional trainers. Participants will get essential skills of designing and implementing international projects and have a chance to develop their own project in an international team.

This programme structure will give the Forum participants, young leaders from all over Greater Europe, an opportunity to learn from respectable diplomats and politicians, discuss the future of international relations in Greater Europe with current decision makers, acquire diplomatic skills, build international network and learn how to work in international teams, take an initiative and implement their own ideas, bringing positive change to Greater Europe.
