HOSPITALITY BACHELOR DEGREES

In the 3.5-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or BA in Hospitality Management degrees you can study in Switzerland or study in London, or experience both renowned hubs of business and tourism. Our unique hospitality education model includes “hands-on” applied learning and hotel management courses, plus leadership and soft-skills development through internships and applied business projects. 

The seven specialization tracks on the hospitality management degrees are designed to sharpen your business expertise for various career paths in the global hospitality industry or  travel and tourism, events, luxury and other experience industries.

Multicampus Option

More than just a study abroad program, Glion’s multicampus programs will allow you to study in Switzerland and London in a seamless experience that will build your international knowledge and add value to your degree. Start in Switzerland, the leader of hotel management education, then head to London to study business in Europe’s capital of finance and tourism. Spend 4-6 weeks in Switzerland to attend the applied learning modules. Finish up on the Swiss Bulle campus for the six specialization options.

As a private institute of university-level studies, Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) upholds strict entry requirements and selects candidates who have the personal qualities to succeed at Glion and to become leaders in the global hospitality industry. When considering candidates for admission, our admissions department looks at the profile of the applicant, taking into account academic records, experience, extracurricular activities, test scores and recommendations. Whether you apply using the online application, or by email, or standard mail, we advise you to prepare your application carefully to give yourself the best possible advantage.

COMPATIBILITY ASSESSMENT

Applicants for undergraduate programs: we will contact you once you have submitted your application documents to arrange a compatibility assessment. This assessment allows us to learn more about your profile and your interests. The compatibility assessment will either take place face to face in your home country or via phone or Skype.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Glion has a rolling admissions policy, applications are processed as soon as they are submitted. Students can receive confirmation of their admission throughout the year. 

Students should allow enough time to complete their visa requests.

Admissions Requirements

The institution maintains a rolling admissions policy. This means that the applicants' credentials are evaluated as soon as the application form is received, with all the pertinent information. Undergraduate Program Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the Bachelor Degree, students should meet the following entry criteria:

  • 18 years at the start of program
  • Having successfully completed 12 years of education
  • Holding an Accredited Secondary Education Diploma
  • English proficiency for Higher Education studies, minimum score of 500 TOEFL or equivalent
  • English proficiency for our programs on the London campus, minimum score of 5.5 IELTS

To be eligible for a Bachelor Degree with Honors students should meet the following entry criteria:

  • 18 years at the start of program
  • Having successfully completed 13 years of education
  • Holding an Accredited Secondary Education Diploma
  • English proficiency for Higher Education studies, minimum score of 500 TOEFL or equivalent
  • English proficiency for our programs on the London campus, minimum score of 5.5 IELTS

Note

For the Swiss campus, the first semester of the program is available in French upon request:

-French entry requirements for non-native French speakers: ALTE3, Alliance Française, Diplôme de langue française.
-English proficiency at the end of Semester 1: minimum score 525 TOEFL or equivalent

Postgraduate & Graduate Entry Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma and Higher Diploma in Hospitality Administration/Management

  • Normally 21 years old and above
  • Holding an accredited 3 year diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Ideally with at least 2 years of work experience
  • Proficient in English for higher education studies: minimum score 550 (TOEFL) or equivalent qualification

Note: A candidate who does not meet one of the above academic entry criteria but can provide evidence of having worked a minimum of 3 years at management level, may be accepted to enter the Professional Development Diploma program.

Master of Science 

  • Normally 21 years old and above
  • Holding an accredited bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient in English for higher education studies: minimum score 600 (TOEFL) or equivalent
  • qualification

Master of Business Administration

  • Normally 24 years old and above
  • Holding an accredited bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Ideally with a minimum of 2 years of suitable work experience
  • Proficient in English for higher education studies: minimum score 600 (TOEFL) or equivalent qualification

Note:

  • MBA students should preferably hold a hospitality, tourism, event management, or business degree.
  • MBA students wishing to study with the 100% online delivery mode or online with face to face seminars in London, need to provide evidence of significant managerial work experience.
  • Students with weak or no accounting skills will be required to attend bridging courses.

TUITION & FEES

Our tuition and other fees are displayed in CHF, GBP and USD depending on the degree, location and mode of study, and they are subject to changes every semester.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Glion provides a limited number of scholarships for new students. Each scholarship is defined by specific criteria and once a student has submitted a completed application, eligibility is then decided on a case-by-case basis. Scholarships cover Glion tuition fees only and do not include room and board charges.*
