To foster academic, educational and cultural relations between Armenia and Georgia ARMACAD invites students, researchers and professors from Georgia to apply for the participation in the first enforcement program of Academic relations between Armenia and Georgia.

The program aims at introducing the present state of Armenian higher education system to Georgian colleagues through a guided tour in Armenian Universities, Academic institutions, Ministries, museums and other places of interest based on specific academic interests of the participants.

During the program Georgian participants will also meet selected participants from Armenia, who on their turn will travel from Yerevan to Tbilisi from October 14 till October 18 to participate in a similar program for Armenians in Georgia. Thus this program will not only become a necessary tool to understand the Armenian academic system, but also will become a life changing and memorable event to have more friends and colleagues in Armenia. So the participants from Georgia will one more time meet their Armenian colleagues in Tbilisi just several days after their program end in Yerevan.

Guided tours to 5 Universities and Academic institutions in Yerevan will be organized during this 5 days long program. 3 meetings with representatives of Armenian higher education system (rectors, heads of different divisions in ministries, heads of departments, etc) and 3 lectures about academic realities in Armenia will be organized as well. All costs related to the program, such Tbilisi - Yerevan-Tbilisi travel, acommodation and food expences in Yerevan will be covered by ARMACAD.

The aim of the program

Armenia and Georgia as two neighbouring countries have developed ties in different spheres, among those energy, business, security, etc. Unfortunately education and particularly relations in higher education is not among the sectors so far enforced and developed. The aim of the program is to first of all to empower relations between individuals in Georgia and Armenia engaged in academic activities, second to popularise the Armenian higher education opportunities among students and researchers in Georgia and become a fertile ground for future collaborations and co-operations, and third, through this guided and academically oriented tour to present Georgian colleagues the possibilities and opportunities available in Armenia for international students and researchers.

The benefits of the participants

Up to 25 selected participants from different universities and academic institutions in Georgia will be invited to Yerevan to participate in 5 days fully covered program to visit universities and academic centers in Yerevan.
