The Birmingham International Summer School (BISS) gives you the chance to study at a top 100 University, while experiencing a global and modern city, right at the heart of the UK. 
Through a combined immersive cultural and study experience, you will connect and build lifelong friendships, while you meet and interact with people from around the world. The diverse range of academic programmes to choose from offer an outstanding learning experience through high-quality teaching, delivered in exceptional facilities on the University's stunning green campus. As you live and study in the diverse city of Birmingham, you will experience different cultures and fun activities through an extensive and engaging social programme. Academic Programmes
The Birmingham International Summer School offers a range of interactive academic programmes that provide an enriching learning opportunity, within a diverse academic setting that will challenge and inspire you. You will learn new perspectives, develop your ideas and expand your thinking.
Experience three weeks of high-quality teaching delivered by our outstanding University academic staff, while you gain credits and personal skills that will enhance your future study and career prospects.
Summer School students can apply to study on one programme for the three-week period. Please select the individual academic programme pages for information on course content and entry requirements.

The BISS Experience
BISS offers a valuable and memorable learning and social experience. While the academic programmes broaden your study skills and knowledge, the social programme offers a range of fun and engaging cultural activities, introducing you to British culture and the opportunity to interact and network with your peers in a fun and lively environment.

How to Apply
Read the Entry Requirements and the BISS Academic Programmes information carefully to check whether you meet the requirements for your chosen programme of study. Please ensure you read the BISS Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your application.
1. Select the application for the BISS academic programme of your choice from the list below and create an account for your application.
2. Complete the application form with your details.
3. Upload an official transcript from your home university in English. If you have evidence of your English Language proficiency at this stage, upload your certificate. (Please note that English Language certificates may be submitted at a later date. Verification of your English Language certificate may also be requested.)
4. Please ensure that you check all details are correct before submitting your application form.

What happens next?
You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. Your application will be processed by the University of Birmingham Admissions Office and you will be notified of the outcome.
Should an offer be made you will be required to meet all conditions before you can be officially accepted onto the programme. You can keep track of the progress of your application by logging into the application portal.
