Eligibility
To be eligible for a Scholarship, students must:
-
have accepted an offer of admission to a one year, full time taught postgraduate programme in any subject;
-
on admission to the University of Chester, be a graduate of one of the eligible institutions in the Santander Universities scheme (see below).
Application procedure and selection criteria
To apply, students must complete a Masters Scholarship application form. Applications should be submitted to the Research and Knowledge Transfer Office by 30 June 2016.
The selection of the Scholars will be made by a panel chaired by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and details of selected Scholars will be forwarded to Santander Universities for information. Applications will be judged on two criteria:
-
academic quality of the applicant;
-
potential for the applicant to benefit from the Scholarship.
If any Scholarships remain vacant after September 2016, further applications will be accepted at any time until 9 December 2016. Vacant Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to eligible applicants meeting the quality criteria thresholds set by the selection panel.
