In Fall 2015, the College of Business and Economics launched a series of research seminars that are meant to create a more vibrant research environment and to promote scientific collaboration among the faculty. One hour seminar takes place biweekly and is scheduled in a way to attract both full time and adjunct faculty.
Faculty working in different disciplines (economics, management, marketing, accounting, etc.) will make presentations that will try to avoid technical jargon and will cover a variety of works (research papers, case studies, surveys).
Recent trends in microfinance, such as commercialization and deposit mobilization, bring forth the importance of investigating the link between sources of funds and the performance of microfinance institutions.
The paper, that will be presented by Knar Khachatryan on October 29, estimates the joint impact of seven categories of capital on three dimensions of performance with seemingly unrelated regressions method.
Speaker:
Knar Khachatryan, PhD, Bachelor of Arts in Business Program Chair and Assistant Professor of Marketing and Management
