TITLE: Project Manager (Dilijan and Adjacent Communities Development Initiative)

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: The contract duration is 2 years with extension possibility

LOCATION: Armenia, Tavush Region

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible for coordinating the whole project, successful planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

Overall objective of the project is the development and promotion of the Tourism and Hospitality sector in Great Dilijan aimed at new jobs and business opportunity creation and promotion. The project will be implemented by involving all interested stakeholders considering their expertise and willingness.

Specific Objectives of the project

  • Touristic infrastructure development in Great Dilijan and in the Dilijan National Park
  • SME and social entrepreneurship development, namely in tourism and hospitality sector
  • Development of IT solutions related to tourism and hospitality sector
  • Organization and implementation of capacity building activities related to tourism and hospitality sectors

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Superior managerial skills, ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports
  • Result oriented with the ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of the team, while being self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian, English and Russian both oral and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • PMP certification is a plus
