your first step towards a career in fashion
The Foundation Year programme is designed to meet the needs of international students looking to make the transition to an undergraduate fashion degree at Istituto Marangoni. The three term programme encompasses fashion and design related subjects, English language and study skills. You will experience new challenges, develop your ideas and advance your skills with creative projects and practical techniques.
programme outline
Academic discipline is at the heart of this course, with focus on in-depth study of analytical principles, techniques for exploration and enquiry, and research into context and materials.
Creative project work will be followed by specialist routes into fashion design (with business), and fashion communication (with styling, graphics and photography). You will also develop an individual creative style and concept ideas that you can take forward over the subsequent three years of undergraduate study.
degree progression
Once you complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree, at the campus of your choice (subject to availability).
