For: Awarded to commencing students with outstanding academic records and high level leadership and community engagement
Available to: Commencing students
Level of study: Undergraduate
Citizenship: Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents or Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holders. New Zealand Citizens and International students who are or have completed years 11 and 12 in Australia.
Award value and benefits: $24,000-$60,000 and membership of Griffith Honours College
Duration: Up to 5 years
Programs of study: All undergraduate programs
Applications close: Sunday 10 December 2017 (applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information)
Candidates must meet all of these:
» Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder: or
» an Australian Permanent Resident a New Zealand Citizen or International student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia:
» Have applied to attend Griffith University in 2018
» Be a student commencing university for the first time in 2018 - i.e. have NOT undertaken/commenced any tertiary study with the exception of those undertaken as part of Year 11-12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program): and » Meet the eligibility criteria for the degree program and receive and accept an admission offer
» Achieve a result which places them in the following bands (including International Baccalaureate (IB). and interstate equivalents or an equivalent Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). Bonus ranks do not apply):
» 1. Deans Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship - OP 1:
» 2. Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship - OP 1-3: and
» 3. Honours College Membership - OP 1-6:
» Current year 12 school leavers: Deans Sir Samuel applicants must have Griffith University listed as their 1st or 2nd QTAC/UAC preference.
» Current year 12 school leavers: You will also be required to upload your OP/ATAR/IB results in the Supporting Documentation section (We are aware that this may be after the closing date of some scholarships)
Terms and Condition;
To remain eligible for these scholarships. applicants will be required to:
» maintain a minimum GPA of 5.5 for the duration of the scholarship:
» be enrolled on a full-time basis (unless exceptional circumstances exist); and » meet all other conditions as detailed in the Academic Excellence Scholarships Policy.
