The aim of this two-year programme is to provide you with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering, combining traditional engineering courses with management modules.

Course description

The course aims at training professionals who are able to work confidently in areas of engineering that are traditionally separate, such as: mechanical design, mechatronics, automation, management and logistics. You can choose between two specialisations: “Mechanics and Automation” or “Logistics and Production”. The latter is offered in partnership with the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg(OvGU) with the possibility to obtain a double degree.

Structure of the course

In the first year, some of the modules, such as Project Economics and Management or Quality Management, are common to both specialisations.

From the second year onwards, modules become specific to the specialisation chosen. You will be able to choose from a range of modules (defined ‘characterising’ courses) in order to customise your course

Currently we offer exchange programmes with almost 20 partner universities all over the world and is part of a large network of collaboration with employers in Italy and abroad where you can undertake your internship.

Career opportunities

Graduates are working in the industrial mechanical area in: research and development, product design and development, tooling, automation technology, production system and machine design, procurement, production, operations management, internal and external logistics and quality assurance. The course provides students with the tools to pursue a career as a consultant or to work in manufacturing, mechanical and mechatronic companies, in energy production and conversion, automation, robotics or in the civil service. Our graduates design and produce tools, engines, machines and other mechanical equipment and/or manage materials procurement, operations and logistics.

Application

In order to gain admission to the course, you will be required to prove that you already have a B2 level of competence in the English language. If you do not have an official language certification, you can take a language exam at our university.
