CALL FOR PAPERS
1ST Concordia–McGill Universities African Studies Conference
5 – 6 October 2017
The Department of Political Science at Concordia University, in partnership with the Institute for the Study of International Development, McGill University, and the Political Science Graduate Students’ Association, Concordia University, presents the inaugural Concordia-McGill Universities African Studies Conference.
THEME: Deconstructing and Reconstructing Africa: Politics, Society and Economics
Submit abstract and paper titles (250 words maximum) to email@example.com addressed to Antwi Boasiako, no later than Monday, 31 July 2017. Papers must be based on original research. You will receive a response on your submission by Tuesday, 15 August 2017. Invitations to participate in the conference will contain information about the conference panel to which your paper has been placed, as well as instructions on how to submit your actual conference paper, which will be due on Friday, 15 September 2017.
Following this conference, a number of the research papers will be selected for consideration for an edited volume on African Politics, Society and Economics. The faculty discussants (Professors from both Concordia and McGill Universities) of each panel will be responsible for recommending the best papers to be featured in this book project.
