The NATO Defense College currently offers eight fellowships each year in the field of defence & security policy research related to NATO and its Partners.
The objective is to promote research and policy analysis in areas of particular interest to the Member States and the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), as well as to countries that are part of the Partnership for Peace (PfP), Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) and Other Military Cooperation (OMC) / Partners Across the Globe (PAG) frameworks.
NDC Eisenhower Defence Fellowship Programme
The NATO Defense College (NDC) is pleased to announce a new research opportunity for citizens of NATO member states: the NDC Eisenhower Defence Fellowship programme, named after the College’s founder, General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The programme began in 2015; each year the NDC Research Division selects - on a competitive basis - three NDC Eisenhower Defence Fellows: 1 Senior Eisenhower Defence Fellow (4 months) and 2 Eisenhower Defence Fellows (3 months each). Each fellow receives a stipend to cover his/her travel and living expenses while conducting research at the NDC (please refer to the Terms and Conditions explaining the differences between Fellowships).
Applicants are invited to submit proposals reflecting the priorities and challenges for the Alliance as outlined in the 2010 Strategic Concept and the 2014 Wales Summit Declaration, by completing and forwarding the Application Form to the NDC Research Division. The full Terms and Conditions of the fellowship, as well as the Application Form, can be downloaded .

Two fellowships are made available each year for applicants from PfP countries. Each fellowship lasts four months and each fellow receives a stipend to cover his or her travel expenses and the costs of his or her stay in Rome while conducting research at the NDC.
