Keep Going, Keep Growing Student Festival

The International Student Week in Belgrade is a student festival which has traditionally been held every year since 2006 in the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The Festival is open for students from all over the world.

Every year, ISWiB gathers over 200 young people, including participants, moderators and volunteers. The idea of the festival is to bind young people through work in several different workshops created so that every workshop covers a significant field of the society we live in. Through workshops, close communication and cooperation, interactive lectures and various open activities, students will be able to gain new knowledge and exchange ideas. They will also have an opportunity to establish professional contacts with eminent professors and professionals from different sectors and develop and create new projects by themselves.

Theme

Keep going, keep growing

Are “who you are” and “who you want to be” the same person? Do you allow yourself to grow and to become your best version?

Discovering who you are today is the first step to being who you will be tomorrow. Knowing  the stages of personal development is crucial for healthy mindset and inner harmony – first, you get to know yourself, then you modify and accept, set your goal, and finally you reach your potential and GROW.

Self–growth is the last, never-ending stage with no time frames.  You can go up and down, back and forth, but at least you are GOING through it, and you are GROWING through it!

Climbing the rocks of your inner mountain may be tough, but the sooner you step away from your comfort zone, the sooner you’ll realize that it wasn’t really all that comfortable. The unknown is just an infinite potential waiting to be experienced, but only if you dare.

So jump, climb, fall, get up, keep up! – and you’ll get there.

Participants

Summer is closer than you think. Want this summer to be the best ever? Do you want to travel, to have a good time, to go to the wildest parties, meet a lot of people and learn something new – you’re in the right place. If you are communicative, open to new acquaintances, tolerant, intrigued by social problems and would love for people to learn more about your country – you’re in the right place. Are you willing to spend eight days with other young people from all over the globe and work with them on a variety of problems?

We invite not only students from all faculties, but also recent graduates to show their skills and knowledge! Get out of your comfort zone and apply! Don’t miss your life-time experience, grab your seat at International Student Week in Belgrade, and we will take care of everything else. See you!

Accommodation

During recent festivals, participants were accommodated in a student dormitory “Petar Drapšin” which is located near the city centre, in street Kralja Petra no. 83 in Belgrade. Because of its beauty, the dormitory was proclaimed a national cultural monument. It was renewed in 2009 and therefore is modernly equipped. Rooms are with 4 or 6 beds, with separate bathrooms. There is also a kitchen with the dining room where participants are served three meals per day.

City centre (Knez Mihailova street, the main promenade in Belgrade) is just a 10-minute walk away (around 300 m). The nearest shop and bakery are in front of the dorm, and the nearest pharmacy is next to the dorm. The nearest bus and tram stop are in the street Cara Dušana (buses 24, 26 and 79, trams 2, 5 and 10). The dormitory has no free parking space.

Here at ISWiB, our goal is to give you a chance to experience the multiculturalism in the best possible manner, while located at the heart of Serbian capital!

You cannot be accommodated before the arrival day of the festival and after the last day (for ISWiB 2020: You cannot be accommodated before July 13th and after July 21st).
