Photo Contest “Youth and Rural Development”
IFAD have launched a photo competition on the theme of youth and rural development to promote youth participation in rural development in Latin American and the Caribbean.
We are looking for images that show young people engaged in rural areas in the region, especially with a focus on innovative practices and solutions. We will be selecting the winning entries based on originality, creativity, and connection with the theme. Be creative!
The winners will have the opportunity to win a trip to join the award ceremony of the Rural Youth Innovation Award.
Ten selected photos will also be exhibited during the official ceremony of the Rural Youth Innovation Award in June 2020. The top three winners will have the opportunity to receive training in digital communications and an expenses paid trip to the ceremony.
Regulation Participation Rules
Art. 1 – The Rural Youth Innovation Award, through this public call, opens the applications to the “Youth and Rural Development” photo contest. Single paragraph – The theme chosen for this contest is based on youth activities towards rural development. With this theme, the Rural Youth Innovation Award aims to identify and select ten photographs that evidences the contribution of young people to rural areas in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially regarding to innovation. The ten selected photographs will be displayed at the Awards ceremony and the three bestplaced, if interested, will receive a workshop on events live coverage and have their transportation, accommodation and food expenses paid to accompany the Awards ceremony.
Art. 2 - Young people between 18 and 35 years old (until 16/12/2019) who are both nationals and residents of Latin American and Caribbean countries are eligible to join the Contest.
