Research Program
As a Leeds University Business School postgraduate researcher you will contribute fully to the advancement of knowledge within the Business School. In return, we will encourage you to undertake research training, help you publish your findings, and give you the support you need to complete your dissertation or thesis. You will study your research degree in one of our six divisions:
As a postgraduate researcher and you will be an integral part of our research community. You will be supported on your research journey by supervisors, research centre contacts and the Graduate School office.

How to apply
If you think you have met the minimum criteria for our PhD or MA by research programmes, you will need to follow the steps below and submit an application to us by the relevant deadlines.
All completed research applications will first be reviewed by the relevant division in the Business School and then forwarded to potential supervisors. Candidates will only be offered a place on the programme if a suitable supervisory team is agreed. It is generally easier to find supervisory teams when research proposals fit closely with the research interests of staff (see Step 1: Locating your research).
Application deadlines
We have two start dates for the PhD programme, 1st October and 1st February for all divisions except Accounting and Finance where the only start date is 1st October. International students are required to undertake the PhD programme full-time.
