A call for PhD applications for Winter School in January 2020.
Theme: The New Political Economy of Europe.
The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at University College Dublin is proud to invite PhD candidates conducting research aligned with the New Political Economy of Europe: Re-Engaging the Street project.
The 2020 Winter School will be held at the UCD campus on 15 – 17 January 2020. It will feature two days of seminars, lectures, and workshops, each of them devoted to one of the Centre’s areas of research: democratic legitimacy, economic governance, and electoral politics. Successful applications would address one of the these areas and should include a paper/chapter + CV. Selected researches will have their travel and lodging expenses covered.
This event will be hosted by UCD’s School of Political Science and International Relations (SPIRe). Guest speakers for the 2020 Winter School include: Dorothee Bohle (Professor of Political Science at the European University Institute), Jonathan Hopkin (Associate Professor of Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics), and Manuela Moschella (Associate Professor of International Political Economy at the Scuola Normale Superiore) as well as UCD and Centre faculty Aidan Regan (Assistant Professor, School of Politics and International Relations), James Cross (Assistant Professor, School of Politics and International Relations), Marie Moran (Assistant Professor, School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice) and Roland Erne (Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration and Employment Relations, School of Business).
