The discussion will focus on how angel investors operate in today’s Silicon Valley’s angel ecosystem. The speaker will discuss lessons learned from angel investors and entrepreneurs worldwide and Strategies for getting Silicon Valley angel funding.

Dr. Ronald Weissman is Chairman of the Software Special Interest Group of the Band of Angels, Silicon Valley’s oldest angel organization. He has more than twenty-five years of as a technology investor and executive. Through his VC and his angel activity Ron has invested in or advised more than 60 companies and has served on more than 25 private company Boards.  His current investment focus is on software, analytics, business solutions, text technologies and Health IT.  

Ron is a frequent US and International conference speaker, he has lectured extensively on venture capital and angel investing, entrepreneurship, corporate governance and software trends. He frequently guest lectures at Stanford and UC Berkeley and at the University of Santa Clara’s Law School and Business School on venture capital, angel capital on corporate governance.
