About the program
The Politecnico di Torino has recently launched a program aimed at recruiting excellent international students for BSc and Master courses. The presence of a major component of international students is a cultural asset to the University as well as an opportunity for the region and its economic system.
In an increasingly competitive European and global higher- education environment, the program aims at strengthening the University's ability to attract talented international students, who will have access to undergraduate and graduate degree courses offered by Politecnico di Torino.
As regards access to undergraduate degree courses, starting from 2016 the entrance examinations will be held not only at the Turin headquarters, but also abroad (Asia, Latin America and the Mediterranean countries) with the assistance of the local best upper secondary schools. The highest score students will be eligible for scholarships for the entire duration of the degree course (subject to periodic verification of the required proficiency levels).
The Politecnico di Torino has recently launched the program "TOPoliTO: attracting top students at the Politecnico di Torino" aimed at strengthening the University's ability to attract talented international students, who will have access to undergraduate and graduate degree courses offered by Politecnico di Torino.
Within this program, Politecnico di Torino offers international students 1 who meet the application requirements in art. 2 below and who will enroll in 2017/18 academic year for the first time in a Bachelor of Science program in:
- Design and Visual Communication
- Territorial, Urban, Environmental and Landscape Planning
the possibility to receive a scholarship to graduate from the Politecnico di Torino.
The initiative is promoted by the Politecnico di Torino with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo.
A call for 26 scholarships has been launched for the A.Y. 2017/18 in the frame of the project “TOPoliTO: attracting international Top students at the Politecnico di Torino”.
The call is open to students who:
- will take the admission test in Italy
- obtained a Secondary High School Diploma outside Italy or are attending the last year of secondary high school located outside Italy
- will enroll for the first time in a Bachelor of Science Degree program at the Politecnico di Torino in 2017/2018 A.Y.
TOPoliTO scholarships will be awarded to students passing the admission test with the best score, provided that the minimum score to enter in the ranking list is 60/100.
Amount and duration of the scholarships
The project will award 26 scholarships to international students at the Bachelor of Science level sitting to admission test sessions in Italy as follows:
- 17 scholarships to students enrolled in Engineering programs
- 2 scholarships to students enrolled in Design and Visual Communication
D 1 scholarship to student enrolled in Territorial, Urban, Environmental and Landscape Planning
- 6 scholarships to students enrolled in Architecture
The Gross Amount of the scholarship is 8.000 € per year for the 3 years of the program. The amount gross of all charges for the beneficiary account is 7.373,27 € per year, depending upon individual tax conditions.
Candidates can choose the language of the Engineering admission test (Italian or English) during the registration.
The gross amount of the scholarship is 8.000 € per year for 3 years (duration of the Bachelor of Science program).
In order to submit the application for the TOPoliTO scholarship, candidates must express their interest in their page of the application form Apply@polito – “Research and Academic scholarships” section within September 14 th 2017.
