Applications are invited for Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarship (NUIPS) for starting a new postgraduate taught degree programme in September 2015. Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000 per year, payable towards tuition fees. To be eligible, candidate must hold a first class honours degree and IELTS 7.0. and are applying for a degree programme within the faculties of HaSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) or MedSci (Medical Sciences). Eligibility:
Students could be eligible to apply for a NUIPS award if they:
-have been offered a place on any postgraduate taught degree programme
-have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes
-hold a first class Honours degree and IELTS 7.0. and you are applying for a degree programme within the faculties of HaSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) or MedSci (Medical Sciences)
- hold an upper-second-class Honours degree and IELTS 6.5. and you are applying for a degree programme within the faculty of SAgE (Science, Agriculture and Engineering)
- intend to register to start your studies during the 2015-16 academic year.
-Continuing students are not eligible to apply; applicants must be starting a new degree programme in September 2015.

Scholarship Open for International Students: International students are eligible for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: The Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarship (NUIPS) awards are available for international students starting their studies in September 2015, in the 2015-16 academic year. Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000 per year, payable towards tuition fees.
Duration of award(s): Each scholarship award will be tenable for the first year of study only. Students studying 2 year Masters degree programmes will receive funding for the first year of study only.
What does it cover? Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000 per year, payable towards tuition fees.
Selection Criteria: The University will consider each individual application on merit and also allocate scholarships based on its strategic geographical priorities.
Notification: Applicants will receive e-mail acknowledgement of their applications and will subsequently be notified whether their application has been successful.
How to Apply: Applications for NUIPS scholarships must be made electronically on the Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarship (NUIPS) application form. Applicants may only apply for scholarships after they have been offered places to study their chosen Masters degree programme and have been assessed as international for fees purposes.
