About the university

The University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland's four ancient universities. It was founded in 1451. Along with the University of Edinburgh, the University was part of the Scottish Enlightenment during the 18th century. It is currently a member of Universitas 21, the international network of research universities, and the Russell Group

Eligibility

Successful candidates will possess an entrepreneurial background and currently be the owner or manager of a start-up organisation. Candidates must demonstrate through their ideas, experience and achievements that they are an excellent team player, with a strong vision for the future. Leadership/management skills or potential, overall quality of the application and financial need will also be considered. The award will be judged on a 1000 word statement supplied by each candidate that should state which scholarship you wish to be considered for and should clearly articulate how you meet the scholarship criteria.

Please note that we are unable to consider candidates who do not hold an offer of a place on the programme. Students already registered on the programme are ineligible to apply. The successful candidate for this award will be notified September 2016. Awards will automatically be deducted from tuition fees.
