The LRF MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering Scholarship
Summary
The Lloyd's Register Foundation (LRF) which supports the Centre for Safety and Reliability Engineering within the School of Engineering will fund one scholarship of £15,000. This will contribute towards fees and maintenance costs. This is part of the School of Engineering Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.
Description
The scholarship is open to all students holding an offer for either the one year full- time MSc in Safety and Reliability Engineering or the one year full-time MSc in Safety and Reliability Engineering for Oil & Gas starting in September 2017. (Please note that the scholarship is not open to students wishing to commence the part-time programme). As detailed above, the scholarship is valued at £15,000 for the one year duration of above degree courses. This will cover Home or RUK postgraduate tuition fees, with the remainder providing a maintenance stipend. Please note: International students will have 60% of the International fee paid by LRF with the balance of the award being paid in the form of a stipend across the time of study. International students will therefore need to be able to meet 40% of their fees from their own resources as only 60% will be paid by LRF and the balance of the £15,000 will be paid in 12 monthly installments.
Please note that applicants who are required to meet International Fees must supply evidence that they can meet the 40% of fees (i.e. £7,600) to be considered for the scholarship.
Eligibility
All students meeting the criteria, regardless of nationality, are eligible to apply for the LRF MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering Scholarship - it is open to UK, EU and International students.
To be considered for a LRF MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering Scholarship you will need to have an offer of a place on either the MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering or the MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering for Oil & Gas degree course starting in September 2017. To be awarded an LRF MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering Scholarship you must receive and then firmly accept an unconditional offer of a place on one of the above degree programmes. Those who are awaiting degree results and therefore hold a conditional offer of a place can also be considered and will be asked to provide a copy of their degree certificate before the award is confirmed.
