Deputy Director of University Extension
The Extension Program at American University of Armenia (AUA) (http://www.aua.am/) is seeking to hire a Deputy Director.
The candidate for this position will be expected to assist in day-to-day operations, HR management, financial management, and promotion/marketing of AUA’s Extension programs.He/she should assist in designing short- and long-term courses, seminars, workshops, recommend new formats and creative new courses, participate in developing policy and monitoring implementation, initiate market research, and study new trends in continuing education. Candidate will also be expected to havebudget development and oversight responsibilities, oversee the administration of contracts and grants in compliance with financial and other policies and procedures of AUA, organize and hold quarterly meetings, and assist in the preparation of various donor reports and invoicing.
Required Education and Experience
Doctorate degree or Master’s degree with credits towards doctorate, with experience in teaching and managing continuing education programs/ University administrative work.
Strong written/oral communications skills in English and Armenian. Ability to network locally and regionally. Strong market research skills.
Knowledge of educational systems and assessment processes. Evidence of program and curriculum development.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment. Ability to work with a variety of constituencies.
Capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines. Commitment to providing high quality work.
Excellent computer skills including Word processing, Spreadsheets, Database management, etc.
