New MA programmes, "Iranian Studies" and "Indology", are launched at Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University in Yerevan
The programmes combine both the academic traditions of Oriental Studies and methodology of modern political, economic, and cultural analysis of the region. General training in Oriental Studies with emphasis on concrete fields of knowledge, such as modern history, political science, economics, religion studies, social anthropology, Oriental philology, etc., provides an individual approach to students, depending on their interests and preferences.
A solid academic staff, including prominent scholars, experts in Oriental languages and native speakers; opportunity to practice languages in the countries they are spoken; participation in research projects and scholar gatherings, publication of research-papers in academic periodicals; access to a unique and rich library in Oriental and European languages, etc. – all this will guarantee a high level of training in the relevant fields of Oriental Studies.
Graduates receive the diploma of both the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation.
The Russian language courses are offered during the whole period of training.
Tuition fee for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia and the CIS is 500,000 AMD; for foreign citizens, 750,000 AMD.
