The AUA Zaven & Sonia Akian College of Science and Engineering welcomes applications from well-qualified candidates for full-time faculty positions in the disciplines of engineering and computational sciences. The selected candidate(s) is/are expected to help lead the launching of a new Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering Sciences, or join the existing faculty in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering and Systems Management. It is expected that the candidate(s) will also liaise with local IT and Engineering firms to assess the needs of the industry and to facilitate student internships and graduates’ employment.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned Ph.D in an engineering discipline, computer science or a closely related field. It is expected that the successful applicant(s) will have experience in teaching and research, possibly with industrial applications and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate(s) will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics/controls, industrial engineering, data science, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science and applied mathematics. Past teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels is desirable. It is also preferred that candidates have experience with advising and mentoring students, as well as in curriculum development and outreach activities.
