Would you like to build a set of professional skills to contribute to your community? Are you interested in working in the civil service, for your local authorities or to improve public services at an international level?
Course description
This master educates and trains future managers and professionals of public institutions, chambers of commerce, publicly-owned companies or charities. These professionals have to face an everyday reality that is getting increasingly complex and that requires a diverse set of skills.
Both programmes available - one focused on European and international organisations and the other on the specific requirements of local authorities - will enable you to handle confidently the legal, statistical, economic and management tools to perform well in this kind of role.
Structure of the course
The modules offered on this Master degree course include disciplines from the fields of Law, Economics and Management.
The multidisciplinary approach of the degree is apparent in the range of subjects that you will study, among which: Political Economy, Strategy, Social and Institutional Communication, Project Cycle Management, Government Statistics, Public Budget, EU and member states Law, Principles and Laboratory of Administrative Law.
Exchange programmes and internships
Currently we offer exchange programmes with more than 50 partner universities all over the world. During the two years of this course, you will also do an internship - of at least 150 hours - in local government offices in Trentino or South Tyrol; in the local chambers of commerce; in government-owned companies (in the health, transportation or education sector); or in not-for-profit, European and international organisations, depending on the availability of places and your preference.
The course includes a study trip to Rome or Brussels.
Our graduates are working in management positions in government organisations - local, national or international - in state-run companies, charities and private companies that provide services or products to government organisations.
If you already have a job, you can strengthen and widen your knowledge and skills in order to progress further in your career. If you are interested in postgraduate education, you can apply for a Master degree course or compete for a PhD.
