The winners are considered Early Stage Researchers under the provisions of the rules of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions. Project European Training Network for Cyber-security - NeCS ETN H2020- MSCA-ITN-2015

Gross amount of Research fellowship: € 2.754,29/month + monthly mobility allowance (monthly gross amount € 498,01) + possible Family Allowance in addition to coverage of study and research relates expensesDuration of the contract: 36 months

Research topics:
1: Risk metrics for vulnerabilities 2: Attack vectors & cyber-threats 3: Cyber security, in particular technologies for dynamic threat assessment and prediction as well as in risk aware usage control 4: Cyber security, in particular technologies for risk assessment and for cyber-insurance


Candidates selected for positions 1 and 2 will receive their fellowships directly from the University of Trento. Candidates for positions 3 and 4 can be admitted without a fellowship or will go an internal round of selection for fellowships awarded by the National Research Council.

Eligibility criteria

Applications are accepted from applicants, regardless of gender, age and nationality, who hold Master’s degree obtained after December 31, 2012. Applications are also accepted from students expecting to obtain their Master degree by October 31, 2015, in this case admission will be "conditional".

The candidate must not have resided nor carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months since December 31, 2013.

The candidate must have not been awarded a doctoral degree in Computer Science, neither in Italy nor abroad.

Selection process

The selection is made by the Admissions Committee on the basis of evaluation of the applicant’s qualifications. The Admissions Committee may contact the applicant for an in-depth interview or a video-interview concerning the material submitted.

The Admissions Committee will have 100 points. Applicants obtaining a minimum score of 60/100 will be short-listed.

The Academic year starts January 1, 2016.
The assessment of qualification will start on October 28, 2015.
