The EAIS 5th Annual Conference on Israel Studies will take place from Sunday, 4 September to Tuesday, 6 September 2016 at SOAS, University of London - located near to the iconic sites of central London. The conference will be held in English. The aim of the conference is to bring together international scholars from a variety of disciplines who are engaged in research in any aspect of Israel studies – including Politics, Literature, Security, Social Studies, History, Economics, Law, Language, Culture, Film, Music and Art. The Conference will continue to build on areas previously investigated in the academic literature and stimulate new fields of intellectual enquiry.
The conference schedule encourages networking and provides opportunities to explore this fascinating city. The conference organisers welcome all proposals which are pertinent to Israel Studies and the theme of the conference. Proposals for panels are especially welcome this year.
SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL Please submit in one Word document your title and abstract (200-250 words) together with biographical background including Institutional Affiliation (50-100 words) and email address before 1 March 2016 to tony.nelson@israelstudies.eu Proposals for panels should give the titles and abstracts of all proposed papers and the biographical backgrounds of panel members. All proposals are subject to a review process. The outcome of the proposal review process will be communicated by email reply in early April.
