Centenary Scholarship Programme
" Over the last one hundred years many things have changed in Ireland and around the globe. It is important that we all develop opportunities to share our views and experiences, and that our students develop an understanding of, and an empathy with, other cultures. Therefore, we feel this is a very appropriate moment for us to launch our DIT Centenary Scholarship Programme to encourage excellent candidates from around the world to apply to undertake postgraduate studies at Masters Level in DIT. I am delighted to announce that we will now offer 60 scholarships for excellent international students to undertake their Masters studies in our four Colleges (Arts & Tourism, Business, Engineering & Built Environment and Sciences & Health) for the academic year 2016-17."
The scholarships will cover one-half of the value of fees for the academic year 2016-17. The scholarship is only available for DIT's fulltime, taught Masters (Level 9) programmes. It is not available for postgraduate diploma or certificate programmes. The scholarships are open to applicants from the following countries only - applicants must be citizens of and currently resident in the country to be eligible;
- Brazil (applicants must have completed a year of study in any Irish higher education institution under the Sciences without Borders programme)
- China (including Hong Kong and Macau)
- Republic of Korea
- United States of America
Applicants must complete and submit the Centenary Scholarship Application on, or before the close of business of the 7th of June, 2016.
Applications MUST be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications will be assessed by an academic panel in each College to determine suitability of the candidate. The panel may also select reserve candidates. The decision of the panel is final.
Successful applicants will be notified by email from the International Office and will be required to accept the offer within two weeks. Failure to accept within this time frame will be deemed as declining the scholarship.
