Take the chance in the summer to study abroad on our accredited courses worth up to 15 ECTS/8 US credits, whether it’s for credit transfer towards your degree, study something completely different to your normal course of study or even just a chance to interact with people from all over the world with similar interests from different perspectives.
Each course is worth up to 7.5 ECTS/4 US credits and is taught by our world-class faculty along with external experts in the field brought in to ensure understanding of the subject area from different angles and small class sizes to maximise the chance to engage with your classmates and the academic staff at each turn.
The programme also includes an engaging social programme designed to help you meet and connect with new people from all over the world at a time when the world has seemed to have gotten smaller for a lot us. Also within the programme is the chance to learn new skills and acquire knowledge to help you meet your future targets, including study skills and postgraduate study guidance and potential scholarships.
One of the greatest advantages of joining us for the International Summer School or the Sustainability Summer Programme is the chance to meet people from all over the world, get to know each and most importantly expand your knowledge and understanding of the world from many more perspectives. 
On campus programme includes accommodation, several day trips and social programme as well our incredible academic courses.
The University of Exeter standard English Language Level requirements apply to this programme and full details can be found on our International Students area. Below is an overview of basic guidelines for applying and if you are unsure if any of these apply to you, please contact iss@exeter.ac.uk to confirm.

Basic English language level requirements:

  • Reside in a country for more than three months where English is a widely spoken or native language. This includes short term study where the course has lasted for 3 months or more
  • Come from an English-speaking country
  • Have a letter or transcript from your place of study to confirm that courses in your institution are taught exclusively in English (excluding English language courses).

Anyone can apply for any of the courses providing they are able to prove a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent in their own country). For students who have yet to complete their first year or who are looking to try this before starting a degree programme, please contact iss@exeter.ac.uk to discuss entry requirements in more detail.
