Herchel Smith Fellowships in Law and Medicine

Applications are invited for two Teaching / Research Fellowships, one in Law and one in Medicine, each tenable for 5 years from 1st October 2021. Those appointed will be required to pursue their own research and to teach for 6 hours per week for the College. Applicants are required to have a record of excellence in research, or in the case of Law equivalent commercial experience, with research interests lying within the areas of the teaching and research undertaken by the relevant Cambridge University Faculty.

The salary will be in the region of £33,000 per annum (for a non-resident Fellow). Further particulars and application form can be downloaded below.   Applications close on July 2nd 2021.

The Herchel Smith Fellows will be given a start-up grant for the purchase of computing and research equipment. Additional benefits provided for the Fellows will be annual grants of up to £1,500 for academic travel and general research expenses, and £280 for the purchase of academic books. The Fellow will be given the option to live in College, and will be provided with lunch and dinner in Hall free of charge.
