Undergraduate
Scholarships for BA in Cognitive Sciences
Scholarship covers: 100% and 50% coverage of tuition
Important! Deposits and fees (dormitory and library), as well as compulsory fees (student, medical, etc.) are not covered by scholarship
Duration: 4 academic years and only 2020-2021 academic year (cannot be extended)
Quantity: 15 scholarship:
– 2 scholarships with 100% tuition waiver for 4 academic years;
– 3 scholarships with 100% tuition waiver for 1 academic year;
– 10 scholarships with 50% tuition waiver for 1 academic year.
Citizenship: Kazakhstan
Selection criteria:
— 2020 high school graduates;
— Excellent English Proficiency (IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 70/KEPT 80 score requiring no KIMEP University Foundation Courses);
— The highest high school GPA (GPA 4.50 out of 5.00);
— The highest UNT score (min 70 out of 140).
Additional criteria:
— “Altyn Belgi” distinction;
— Certificates of winners of international and/or republican level Olympiads within the recent 3 years, which must be approved according to the order #514 of MES RK from December 7, 2011;
— Other criteria if required by FAO (English level, high school GPA for 5-11 grades, interview etc.).

For Central Asian countries
Scholarships for citizens of Central Asian Countries
Scholarship covers: 100% coverage of tuition
Important! Deposits and fees (dormitory and library), as well as compulsory fees (student, medical, etc.) are not covered by scholarship
Duration: 4 academic years (cannot be extended)
Quantity: 75 scholarships for each country
Student’s citizenship: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
Target group:
– Students transferring to KIMEPU from other universities
– High School Graduates of 2018, 2019 and 2020 years
Selection Criteria*:
– Good English Proficiency (IELTS 4.5 and above, TOEFL IBT 57 and above, KEPT 51 and above, or other equivalents);
– GPA of high/vocational school 4.00 and above out of 5.00 (attestat);
– GPA of the previous university 70% and above (if already available).
Additional criteria:
– Academic merits of national or international level within the recent 3 years
Application deadline:
First application period: 23 December, 2019;
Second application period: 25 March, 2020;
Third application period: 30 June, 2020;
Forth application period: 20 July, 2020
