Yale University seeks to appoint a postdoctoral fellow with research expertise in critical humanities approaches to big data, with an emphasis on comparative historical perspectives on the organization of knowledge. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as art history, history, history of science, literature, or philosophy.

The fellow will join a cross-disciplinary team of faculty and students taking part in a year-long series of events supported by a grant from the Mellon Foundation . Additional experience working in and/or teaching with special collections, data visualization, digital humanities, or other cross-disciplinary projects is desirable. Fellowship responsibilities include teaching one course per semester, coordinating events and project management.

This is a one-year appointment, beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021; applicants must have completed all PhD requirements before July 1, 2020.
